about
From Madrid based in Brighton, known for their contagious blend of indie-pop meets funk, R&B and soul, Luan Luan isn’t following any rulebook. Energetic and fuelled with charm, you can feel this songwriter’s stunning presence from the get-go.
Luan Luan has a story to tell as a young immigrant with a very diverse musical background and living experiences in the UK. They write music to reach a deeper understanding of personal experiences and perceptions of the world around them through a synaesthetic lens.
They have the power to bring the audience inside their vibrant and rhythmic playing style: Luan Luan’s finger-style guitar work adds a very rhythmic edge to their writing, beautifully underpinning their catchy melodies, and an unexpected saxophone reflects another deep level of their expressive songwriting.

Luan Luan released their debut single 'Elements' in 2019, which caught everyone's attention and was featured on BBC Radio, Radio Reverb, and Platform B Radio. In June 2020, Pride month, they brought a different story to the industry with their new single 'Yellow', a track about queer love through art and synaesthesia. In February 2021, Luan Luan collaborated with the producer Tiiva, releasing their remix of 'Yellow'.
In January 2023, their song 'Yellow' was featured in the new Spanish series 'Escándalo, Relato de una Obsesión' making it their first-ever sync on national TV.
